A quick and delicious one-pan chicken parmesan pasta skillet recipe.
Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound chicken breast, diced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
- 2 cups water
- 8 oz penne pasta
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add diced chicken, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano. Cook until browned.
- Pour in marinara sauce and water, stir to combine.
- Add uncooked pasta, stir well.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer. Cover and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove lid, sprinkle with mozzarella and parmesan cheeses.
- Cover again for 2 minutes to melt cheese.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh pasta for quicker cooking time.
- Substitute chicken with turkey or tofu for variations.
- Add red pepper flakes for extra heat.
