- 4 cups fresh or frozen corn kernels
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat until melted.
- Add corn and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream, salt, pepper, and sugar (if using).
- Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Mix flour and milk in a small bowl, then pour into the skillet.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until thickened.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Use fresh corn for the best flavor, but frozen works well too.
- Adjust salt and sugar to taste.
- For a lighter version, replace heavy cream with half-and-half.
