- 8 oz whole wheat pasta
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1 minute.
- Add broccoli florets and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender.
- Toss in the cooked pasta, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
- Stir in parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve immediately.

- Substitute parmesan with nutritional yeast for a vegan option.
- Add lemon zest for extra flavor.
