Description

Hasselback potatoes are thinly sliced roasted potatoes with crispy edges and tender centers, seasoned to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • Optional: fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Cut thin slices across each potato, leaving the bottom intact.
  3. Brush potatoes with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Place potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for 40-45 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven, brush with melted butter, and bake for another 5 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

  • Use a wooden spoon to help slice the potatoes evenly.
  • For extra crispiness, bake at a higher temperature for the last 10 minutes.
