Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  6. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. Add red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  8. Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  9. Add cooked pasta and mix well.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
