Ingredients

- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (220g) packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups (350g) chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cream butter and sugars until fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
- Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto baking sheets.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool on wire racks.
Notes
- For chewier cookies, chill dough for 30 minutes before baking.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
- Freeze unbaked dough balls for up to 3 months.
